05-11 Tacoma Turbine Edition Headlights
2nd Gen Tacoma Custom Headlights
LED Projectors - LED White/Amber Halos Standard
Introducing the Turbine Edition Headlights for 2005-2011 Tacomas. These headlights utilize the exact same parts as our Custom Headlights - we just simplified the ordering process since this build is a customer favorite. Over the years, we've built over 2000 sets of Turbine style headlights.
The Turbine Series headlights are popular with 2nd Gen Tacoma owners for a reason. The appearance is very unique and aggressive, while the light output exceeds anything else on the market.
Whether you're looking to light up the highway or the trail, proper visibility is important. The TEQ Difference is that our headlights are fully adjustable and have a sharp cutoff, allowing you to gain the most visibility without blinding oncoming traffic. It's the responsible way to do an LED Upgrade. Projector specs can be found below.
Front Vs Rear Halos
Front halos have the same functionality as the rears. They can be used as running lights and turn signals.

**Note: We do not provide brightness readings in the form of Lux or Lumens because they are misleading. There is much more to a headlight than the total light output (lumens) or the light output at a single point (Lux).
A projector can have very high lumens, but if it's aimed at the ground, it's useless. A projector can also have a very high lux rating by having the light condensed to a single point. Again, useless for a headlight.
This is a comparison between our TEQ BiELD and a Plug and Play LED Bulb in an identical environment with locked camera settings.
If you measured the LUX rating, you may get a decent number from one spot of the LED bulb, but the light is scattered and would make it hard to see,, no matter the rating at a single point.
To truly evaluate the effectiveness of a headlight, you have to look at the distribution of the light across the whole beam pattern. Our headlight projectors are designed to have a bright hot spot that is aimed down the road for maximum far-field visibility, as well as a uniform beam pattern that still provides light in the peripherals.

TEQ Customs BiLED Projectors
Morimoto D2S
Quad Projector Upgrade (High Beam Projectors
On headlight builds that have separate high and low beams, we offer the option to upgrade to quad projectors. This upgrade puts an additional projector in the high beam area of the headlight.
TEQ Customs BiLED Mini Projector
For smaller applications, we offer the Mini BiLED Projector. This is our high end projector of choice for mini and quad projector retrofits. It's basically a smaller, slightly less bright version of the full size BiLED (1500 lux vs 1600 lux). It's the best projector you can get for smaller applications and the quad upgrade.
This projector has both high and low beams just like a standard projector. When used with quad projector retrofits, this allows you to have 4 low and 4 high beams in your headlight (2 on each side) for the brightest headlights on the market, period.
Multi HighBeam Projector
The Multi HighBeam projector is a great cheaper alternative to the TEQ Customs BiLED Mini Projectors when putting together a quad projector setup. This projector does not have a low beam function but allows you to have 4 high beams.
Black/Amber Multi High Beam Projector
The Black/Amber version of the multi high projector is created by our team at TEQ Customs. We take a standard Multi High projector, paint the body black, and tint the lens amber. This causes the beam to emit amber, which can help in situations with dense fog or heavy weather.
The black/amber version also ties in great with a black headlight build.
Output (Same Beam Pattern, just Amber for the Amber Multi High Version)
All shrouds are the same price and are available in chrome, black, or painted a custom color. The most popular are Panamera 2.0, Apollo 3.0, and Turbine. Add front or rear halos to complete your build. Switchback and neopixel RGB halos are available. Pictures of specific shrouds on a vehicle can be provided. Stock photos from The Retrofit Source.

Today we're going to cover Halos and Demon eyes, two of the popular options we offer for our TEQ Customs Headlights. We'll go through what each adds to the build, what functions halos and demon eyes add, and the different kinds of halos and demon eyes available.
To start with, Halos are rings of light that can either go around the front of the projector (Front halos) or behind a shroud to backlight it (rear halos). Every TEQ Customs halo is going to have white and amber functionality standard. The amber function is able to be used as a turn signal. More info on the types of headlights below;
Standard Halos (Switchback)
Switchback halos are standard when adding halos. Switchback refers to the ability for the halos to switch from white to amber and flash with the turn signal, then back to white.
You can also run full time white only or full time amber only if you wish.
RGBW Halos
RGBW Halos are bluetooth controlled color changing. They utilize an app on your phone. RGBW halos can be set to any solid color. They also include a ton of "show modes" where colors will flow and rotate around the halo.
RGBW Halos also have a turn signal function.
Front and Rear Halos
Rear halos are installed in the back of a shroud. When lit, they provide a backlight to the shroud. Depending on the shroud design, this will create patterns around the shroud.
Rear halos can be utilized in any builds that utilize a shroud. For builds that have a trim piece around the projector, like Gx470 and 06-09 4Runners, shrouds and rear halos are not able to be used.
Front halos go around the opening of the projector on the front of the shroud. On some headlight builds, we are only able to install front halos due to existing trim inside of the headlight.
For builds that have an option for a high beam front halo, a projector will need to be added to use a front halo.
Examples of a front halo only build and a build with both front and rear halos is shown below.
Front Halo Only
Front and Rear Halo
Hex Halos
Hex halos are RGBW Only (Requires the RGB Upgrade) and can only be used as front halos. These can be placed on trim pieces or on the front of shrouds. We offer a few "Special Edition" builds with Hex Halos standard.
Demon Eyes
Demon eyes back light the projector itself (the center of the headlight). These do not change the color of the light emitted from your headlight
The term demon eye comes from the red backlit option, but they are available in red, blue, green, white, and purple as singe colors. If you add on the RGBW upgrade, the demon eye can be full color changing along with your halos.
These are great for adding a little extra customization, especially for builds like the 06-09 4Runner, 14+ 4Runner, Gx470, and 16+ Tacoma where a shroud and rear halos is not possible.

Lens etching allows you to further customize your headlights with a design on the projector lens. These are purely aesthetic. Designs with more etching in the center of the lens may effect output.
We currently offer 2 standard designs at a lower cost and the option for a completely custom design. We will reach out to you for all custom design orders.
