1st Gen Tundra Turbine Headlights
LED Projectors - LED White/Amber Halos Standard - Plug and Play
Introducing the Turbine Edition Headlights for 00-06 Tundras. These headlights utilize the exact same parts as our Custom Headlights - we just simplified the ordering process since this build is a customer favorite.
The Turbine Series headlights are popular with 1st Gen Tundra owners for a reason. The halo appearance is very unique and aggressive, while the light output from our LED Projectors exceeds anything else on the market.
Whether you're looking to light up the highway or the trail, proper visibility is important. The TEQ Difference is that our headlights are fully adjustable and have a sharp cutoff, allowing you to gain the most visibility without blinding oncoming traffic. It's the responsible way to do an LED Upgrade. Projector specs can be found below.
Front Vs Rear Halos
Front halos have the same functionality as the rears. Halos can be used as day time running lights (DRLs) and turn signals.

LEARN ABOUT THE OPTIONS
What does THE Projector Do?
Your projector is the most important part of your headlight upgrade, because it's the part that produces your light output. A projector uses built in optics within the body of the projector as well as a glass lens to aim and amplify light across long distances. It reduces glare and provides more light output with the same amount of power than a traditional bulb in a reflector headlight.
The main projector we offer is our in-house TEQ BiLED Projector. The "BiLED" portion means that the projector has both a low and high beam function, much like a traditional H4 bulb. We have spend years optimizng this projector and as technology improves, we will continue innovating to provide the best light output on the market.
How does the TEQ BILED Stack up to the competition?
Click through here to see a side by side comparison of TEQ Customs Projectors with other headlight options. The lux reading is a measure of light intensity at a certain point. It takes into account the distance from the light source and the amount of light at that point. It is a more effective measurement of headlights than lumens, as lumens does not take into account how the light is aimed.
It is equally important to take into account the beam pattern of the headlights. We need to have a proper spread of light down the road to be able to see hazards off to the sides of the road and as we turn. We also need an even distribution of light so there is not dark spots on the road. Each picture was taken in the same enviornment at similar times, with camera settings locked for the most accurate depection of beam patterns. Finally, each one of the graphics above are a single headlight - not a pair. Output from a pair of TEQ headlights can be seen below.
As you can see, the choice is obvious. When you consider price point, the superior performance of TEQ comes with a cheaper price tag than your other high end options.
Every set of headlights comes standard with a pair of TEQ projectors. However, if your factory headlights had a seperate low and high beam, there's room in the headlight for more.
The first option is the multi-high beam projector. This is a high beam only projector, which gives you 2 low beams and 4 high beams per set of headlights. We also offer an option with a yellow/amber lens that provides some contrast on your high beams.
The other option is the Mini BiLED Projector. Like the full size TEQ BiLED, this projector has both low and high beam function, for a total of 4 low beams and 4 high beams per pair of headlights.

What are the specs for the TEQ BiLED Projector
Projector Size: 3in
Voltage: 12V
Power Draw: 38W Low Beam, 45W High Beam
Temperature: 5500K
Lifespan: 50,000 Hours
Projector Type: LED
Projector Function: Low and High Beam
Do I need to get seperate bulbs?
No! We include everything you need to install your new headlights, including any needed parts for the projectors to be hooked up.
Do I have to wire anything to get quad projectors?
You do not. All quad projector upgrades will be pre-wired to connect directly to your factory headlight plugs, no wiring needed.
Do I need a bigger battery to run projectors?
No! The neat thing about LED's is they are more efficent than halogen lighting, so more light is produced with the same amount of power. Your current battery will be just fine.
Are the headlights DOT Approved?
"DOT Approved" is actually a made up term as the DOT does not approve products - they just publish the regulations. Our projectors do meet DOT standards for headlights and all lenses will come DOT stamped to demonstrate compliance.
**Note: This statement of compliance refers to the projectors. Certain add ons, for example Red Demon Eyes, may not meet DOT regulations and are for off-road use only.
WHAT DOES A SHROUD DO?
A shroud goes around the body of the projector and hides the internals from view, leading to a more visually appealing headlight.
Shrouds are avalible in black, chrome, and custom colors upon request.
When combined with a rear halo, the shroud will be backlit in the pattern of the openings on the shroud. See below for examples.
Shroud Name
Shroud with no rear halo
Shroud With Rear Halo
Apollo 1
Apollo 2
Apollo 3

Panemara 2

Mini Gatling (Mini BiLED Projector Only, Not Compatible with Rear Halos)
Front vs Rear Halos
Halos can function as running lights or turn signals within your headlight build. There are two different positions a halo can be placed.
A front halo goes around the opening of the shroud or is placed on the trim of the headlight, depending on the headlight design.
Rear halos will backlight your choice of shroud. Rear halos are not avalible on every headlight build. For a full list of what each shroud looks like with a rear halo, see the Shroud Guide.
Most headlights that have a factory headlight projector are not able to have a shroud installed and therefore, cannot have rear halos. These headlights can utilize front halos, as well as the popular Hex halos.
If your headlight has a seperate low and high beam area, it is possible to add a halo in the high beam area.It is required to add the quad projector upgrade so there is a place to put the halo.
FRONT HALO ONLY BUILDS
Switchback + RGB Halos
Our standard halos are switchback, meaning there is a seperate white and amber function, with the option to use the amber function as a turn signal.
The amber function can also be used as a DRL, but the ability to have an amber DRL and utilize the turn signal function is vehicle dependant.
RGBW halos are bluetooth controlled color changing. You will utlize an app on your phone to control the functions.
RGBW Halos can be set to any solid color, including white and amber, and include different animated show modes. RGBW Halos also include a turn signal input.
Halo FAQ's
Are halos road legal?
Switchback halos are fully road legal. RGBW halos are legal for on-road use if the halos are set to white or amber. While it is highly unlikey you would get pulled over for other colors, those are offically for off-road use only.
Why can't some builds have rear halos?
Headlights with factory projectors often have a trim piece around the projector. For these vehicles, there's phyiscally no room for a shroud and a rear halo. These builds can still utilize front halos though!
Are halos plug and play?
We currently include plug and play harnesses for halos and demon eyes with many of our headlights, with additional support on the way.
The supported models include 1st Gen Tundras and Sequoias, GX470s, 06-09 4Runners, 14-21 4Runners, FJ Cruisers, and LX470s with the corner light conversion kit.
For a comprehensive list, each headlight listing will note if plug and play harnesses are included for the halos and demon eyes.
If we do not have plug and play support just yet, don't worry. The install is still very easy. The halos are a simple power and ground connection. We have install guides and our helpful staff avalible to assist with any install as well!
Lens Etchings offer a way to make your headlights completely unique. We can etch a veriety of designs on to the projector lens, including custom works.
Lens Etchings have a few limitations. We are not able to do any shading. Very small lines will also not come out properly. We reccomend a relatively simple design with well defined lines for the best results. Our team will consult with you to provide a proof of your custom design prior to the etching being done.
Simple lens etchings do not affect the projector output, however designs that require etching a large amount of the lens will affect the output. Regardless of the design, the projector will not project the lens etching design.
We offer 2 popular patterns standard - topographic and hexagon/honeycomb.

DEMON EYE AND LENS ETCHING FAQ'S
DO DEMON EYES CHANGE THE COLOR OF MY HEADLIGHT?
No. Demon Eyes are a backlight only. When the projector is on, the demon eye is not visible and the light output is unchanged.
What limits exist with lens etching designs?
Lens etchings come out the best with larger, thicker lines. Very thin lines and fine details may not come out perfect. It is not possible to do color or shading with lens etchings either. We reccomend a design that does not require etching a large portion of the lens so there is no effect on the light output.
What is the difference between Demon Eyes and Halos?
Rear halos backlight a shroud while demon eyes backlight the projector lens. It can be difficult to discern between the demon eye and rear halo if both are included on the build. As such, we reccomend either different color halos and demon eyes for contrast. Demon eyes also go great with builds that do not support a rear halo.
For examples and pictures of halos, see the Halo Guide.

What is a Demon Eye?
Demon eyes backlight the lens of the projector a certain color, or multicolor with the RGBW upgrade.
The demon eyes do not change the color of the headlight output. When the headlight beam is on, the output will still be a crisp white color, regardless of demon eye selection.
Demon eyes tend to look best on headlights that do not have shrouds or a rear halo as that increases the visibility.
Examples of demon eyes are shown below. RGBW demon eyes can be set to any color see here, as well as many other solid colors, including white and amber.
