"The gauges themselves look great, but the installation experience was honestly unacceptable for a vehicle-specific kit. There were no wiring instructions, no installation video, and the ring-terminal/fuse-tap hardware I expected was not included—instead I received bare red/black wires and two no-splice T-taps with essentially no explanation of where they were supposed to connect on the 4Runner. TEQ support also specifically told me I would not need to remove the gauge needles and could simply feed them through the overlays, which was physically impossible because the factory needle hubs were larger than the openings. I ended up removing/reinstalling the needles and researching Toyota wiring diagrams myself just to figure out power and ground. Telling a customer to simply “tap the parking-light wire” is not adequate installation documentation. Good-looking product, extremely poor instructions and inaccurate technical support. For the price, TEQ needs to do much better, and I’ll be contacting them about a refund/partial refund."
