- Keeps axle centered w/ correct pinion angle!
- Designed to be used with OEM rear-of-rear shackle hangers, which get reused and relocated rearward 4.5". Simply bolt rear shackle hanger forward holes into original rear frame holes, then match drill (2) new rear frame holes each side. (Stock style tension shackle hangers are best for towing, handling and suspension travel without shackle issues)
- Fits 1972-1993 Dodge Ram *TRUCKS* W150 W250 W350 (Also fits D150 D250 D350, but springs lift. If your D350 has a 2" block, you can remove and get no lift)
- Robust design for severe duty use: towing heavy, prerunner, off road abuse, drag racing
- Hangers locate off the stock hanger holes and comes with drill template & drill bit
Recommended 64" springs:
-Note: 1988-1998 eye bolts are 9/16" front & rear, but 2001+ springs have 5/8" front and 9/16" rear eye bolts
-For W250/350:
a. 2001-2010 GM 2500HD 4+1 P/N 22-1269 common
b. 2001-2010 GM 3500 5+1 P/N 22-1289 has bit more arch & lift
c. 1996-1998 K2500 5+1 P/N 22-797 (Archive runs this spring)
-Lift for W250/350 ~2" lift (retaining block) over stock Dodge 6/1 springs w/ Chevy 2500HD 4+1 P/N 22-1269 (or 5+1 P/N 22-797), ~3"lift with 3500 5+1 P/N 22-1289
-For W150: I like 1988-1998 K1500 4+1 P/N 22-795 (or K1500/K2500 5+1 P/N 22-797)
-Lift for W150 should be around 3"-4" lift (retaining block) over stock 1/2 ton 4+1 springs w/ K1500 4+1 P/N 22-795 or 5+1 P/N 22-797
-For D150, maybe look at the softy C1500 3+1 P/N 22-793 springs
-If you tow really heavy or carry more than 1,500 lbs with W250/350, I recommend an auxiliary leaf on top of pack.
My review of 64" swap:
I love this swap on my truck! Way better than a shackle flip. I swapped some USED 1998 Chevy K2500 5+1 springs (aftermarket P/N 22-797) and they still ride nice despite having some rust and missing slider pads. Handling is good, truck feels planted. The rear has compliance now. My old blue truck shown had 2" front lift springs, removed rear 3" stock block, sits a little proud up front without any rear block. These 5+1 22-797 springs are a bit light for a 3/4 ton.
